Año Nuevo State Seashore : Hannah and I took a hike along the Northern California coastline. Año Nuevo State Seashore is a short stretch of protected land where each winter thousands of seals come to mate.

Peru : Our journey started in Cusco, where we spent a day and a half adjusting to the high altitude at roughly 8000 feet above sea level. Our hike along the Lares Trek in the Andes would challenge even the most fit trekker as we hiked to over 14,500 feet above sea level. Breathing definitely got hard. After our Andean trek, we were treated to the sight of Machu Picchu. Truey awe inspiring...
We ascended from the chilly air of the high country and found our way to Puerto Maldonado, a port city in the Amazon jungle. The jungle provided a glimpse into some of its wonders within our few day visit, both big and small, cute and ferocious, safe and deadly.
